The Florence Academy of Art is located in the center of Florence, just behind the Church of Santa Croce, and a short walk from the Duomo, the Accademia and the Uffizi Gallery.

The Academy houses a small collection of 19th century drawings, and contemporary student and staff drawings, paintings and sculpture. These works are on view by appointment. To further support the professional careers of its advanced students and alumni, The Florence Academy of Art organizes annual exhibitions in museums and galleries around the world.

The Florence Academy of Art is a branch of the International Academy of Fine Art, a United States nonprofit 501 c (3) educational entity. The Florence Academy of Art admints students of any race, color and national or ethnic origin.
