A year of specialization and instruction awarded to three outstanding graduates in Painting. The prize allow students to return to The Florence Academy of Art tuition-free and to work under the direct mentorship of Director, Daniel Graves.

Prize winners are provided a private studio space alongside Daniel Graves, where they will work on a project of their choice: figure or multi figure compositions, landscape or still life. They may select a mentor among the faculty for extra guidance. They may also choose to work half days from the model in the advanced painting studio.

During the fourth year, students put to use the skills, and powers of synthesis and expression, learned while studying at the Academy, as they transition from student to professional artist.
