The Academy’s administrative staff offers help and guidance to students seeking housing. Information is contained in the acceptance packet provided to all new students entering the program.
New students may choose to join the housing plan in which they are assigned a single bedroom in a furnished apartment with other students on the program. These are always within walking distance or short bus ride from the studio. For students who wish to live independently, they receive a list of housing agencies in Florence to contact directly. Students may also consult Craigslist for Florence.
The Academy has close contact with several local landlords. Contact information will be provided newly accepted students upon request.
There are a number of websites where one can look for rooms/apartments to rent in Sweden. Most of these are listed below. The school is located in Mölndal close to train, bus and tram stops.

The Florence Academy of Art New York is located in the Mana Contemprary Art Center in Jersey City. Students may choose to live in Jersey City or in the East and West side neighborhoods of lower Manhattan. The PATH train connects Jersey City and Manhattan, and runs along 6th Avenue, with stations at 33rd Street, 23rd Street, 14th Street, 9th Street and Christopher Street. The Journal Square stop in Jersey City is a short walk from the school. The Academy’s Administrative Staff will supply a list of agencies that students may contact to secure housing before beginning the program.
